ICCAT wrap-up (PRESS RELEASE) Emphasis on recreational fishing

ICCAT wrap-up: U.S. negotiating team holds the line for marlin and swordfish
Emphasis on the value of
recreational fishing advancing at the annual meetings

PARIS, France -- A negotiating team from the United States, which included The Billfish Foundation (TBF), successfully defended existing conservation measures for white and blue marlin and swordfish during 12 days of annual negotiations of the International Commission for the Conservation of Atlantic Tunas (ICCAT), which concluded in Paris, November 27. ICCAT is an inter-governmental fishery organization responsible for the conservation of tunas and migratory species in the Atlantic Ocean and its adjacent seas which includes the Gulf of Mexico and the Mediterranean Sea. The 40-year old commission includes nearly 50 member nations.

As the negotiations opened, intense media attention was directed at the U.S. and Dr. Jane Lubchenco, Administrator of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). Lubchenco’s presence was a clear indication that the U.S. was increasing its visibility at ICCAT. She delivered the U.S. conservation message as one, supporting science-based management for sustainable stocks and long term fishing opportunities and jobs for both the recreational and commercial fisheries. This was the first time we have heard a clear statement emphasizing the economic and cultural value of recreational fishing being delivered by the U.S. at ICCAT,” said Ellen Peel, TBF President, who served as the U.S. Recreational Fishing Commissioner.

Randi Parks Thomas served as the U.S. Commercial Fishing Commissioner and Russell Smith, NOAA’s Deputy Assistant Secretary for International Fisheries, was the lead U.S. Commissioner and negotiator. Dr. Russell Nelson, TBF’s Chief Scientist, represented the organization as an official observer lobbying for conservation and keeping anglers globally informed via TBF’s blog site http://thebillfishfoundation.blogspot.com . Some positive results included a continuing of Atlantic marlin conservation measures requiring release of live marlin from longline vessels and quotas on commercial landings.

These conservation measures have resulted in the first positive increase in white marlin stocks in over three decades,” noted Peel. “Negotiating before ICCAT for the conservation of species important for U.S. recreational fisheries is extremely challenging,” she said “but in recent years Brazil has arisen as a very important partner in billfish conservation.” The U.S. successfully managed to extend the North Atlantic swordfish measures for one year, which will likely create more pressure next year to retain quota share,” observed Nelson, “and any reduction in U.S. quota share would trickle down to re-distribution of catch allocations through all user groups in the U.S.”

In other major news ICCAT, which recently began addressing shark conservation, removed oceanic whitetip and hammerhead sharks from the international market and any take, possession or sale will be prohibited (with some exceptions for small scale artisanal coastal fisheries). On the down side for sharks measures to protect thresher and porbeagle sharks and to require that all sharks be landed with fins intact (to make it harder to fin sharks and discard their bodies) were defeated. Like marlin, sharks are killed as bycatch in pelagic longline gear. A significant step was achieved with the adoption of the agreement to prohibit retention of oceanic whitetip sharks,” said Sonja Fordham, a veteran international shark expert, U.S. delegation member and President of the non-profit organization Shark Advocates International. Much needed conservation measures for bigeye tuna and Mediterranean swordfish did not move forward.

MY QUESTION IS WHO THE HELL DO THEY THINK THEY ARE COMING INTO MY BACKYARD AND TELLING ME WHAT, WHEN AND WHERE TO FISH; That is the FWC's department and I'll be damned if I'll follow European, United Nations or New World Order rules. My fore fathers left years ago to get away from this tyranny. Why do the think they can Walsh right in and take my dance card away.  FISH AMERICAN-BE AMERICAN and if you don't like it ; GO THE HELL HOME!

NOAA, the EDF, the Gulf of Mexico Fisheries Management Council and the Keep America Fishing advocates are pushing for more recreational permit programs, thus allowing those that can afford to fish to do so and those that can't, well they can just cut bait. The Keep America Fishing logo is just that, a branding or a tool for all the government ABC's to control your fishing rights and all those that joined up under the Keep America Fishing website thought it was aimed to preserve their right; where as they were really just sold a bill of goods. The Duping of America! “Fishermen who signed up for Keep America Fishing email campaigns as are now united under one voice with a group which openly supported the restrictive language written into Magnuson in 2006 and is now advocating for
building broader private angler support for catch shares in 2010,” Jim Donofrio, RFA (Recreational Fishing Alliance) Executive Director.

Be Saved by the Online Fisherman or be LOST under the UN!

If you are looking to help save angling as we know it now and would like to get involved in helping spread the word of Anti-Catch Shares & Sector Separation, it would be appreciated, as after the Oceans are contained by the UN under LOST and President Obama's signage of said Bill (to which we and a hand full of Senators are trying to stop), the inshore of the inshore is next in their sights, along with all out flowing rivers into the oceans and public lands adjacent to them in the form of angling restrictions to which have never before been seen in this country before. An example would be angling for your favorite fish anywhere, USA.

First you buy your fishing license. Then you buy your tags on the type of fish you wish to fish for. Again, another tag to keep the uncaught fish good only for the days you plan on fishing. Now you put in for a lottery type drawing to see if you can fish that particular piece of water and that is a non-refundable fee. Then you get a day license to fish where you put in for if your accepted and that is for angling on Public lands. Private land fishing is the same except higher cost. Catch Shares on freshwater or salt are the amount allowed and the season. Sector Separation are areas divided up, leased to the highest bidder and they are the ones giving permission on where to how you can fish. That is it in a nutshell but it dwells much deeper than that under Article 21 of the United Nations Land, Ocean, Sea, Treaty LOST. It passed the House as an earmark in the middle of a 2,990 page Bill. Who reads that? Apparently nobody we elected because LOST was passed in the House, is now up to the Senate and if passed, President Obama has said he will sign it into law. Good bye Democracy hello socialism. Senator Bill Nelson sent me a letter this AM and I posted it on our site. Marco Rubio has too express his support to our cause. We are growing.

The Law of the Sea Treaty, formally known as the Third United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea, or UNCLOS III, was adopted in 1982. That agenda called for "fairer" terms of trade and development financing for the so-called under-developed and developing nations. It has also been referred to as the New International Economic Order; New World Order. The Law of the Sea Treaty calls for technology transfers and wealth transfers from developed to undeveloped nations. It also requires parties to the treaty to adopt regulations and laws to control pollution of both fresh and saltwater marine environments. President Ronald Reagan rejected this treaty in 1982 and As Edwin Meese, U.S. Attorney General under President Reagan, explained, "...it was out of step with the concepts of economic liberty and free enterprise that Ronald Reagan was to inspire throughout the world." Again it was thrown to the dogs under the Bush administration as "being just a bit to far left of Communism or of the theories of Karl Marx."

UN's Division of Ocean Affairs and Law of the Sea (DOALOS) states when the passage of this Bill is mandated it will perhaps be one of the most significant but less recognized 21th century accomplishments in the arena of international law. Its scope is vast: it covers all ocean space, with all its uses, including navigation and overflight; all uses of all its resources, living and non-living, on the high seas, on the ocean floor and beneath, on the continental shelf and in the territorial seas; the protection of the marine environment; and basic law and order.... The Convention is widely recognized by the international community as the legal framework within which all activities in the oceans and the seas must be carried out. DOALOS, the UN agency in charge of administering LOST, claims the convention covers "all ocean space," including everything on, in, under, and above the oceans. Note also the heavy use of the adjective "all," as in "all uses," "all resources," "all activities." But wait; as we shall see, the claims go even far beyond this to include global regulations that will override domestic laws covering not only coastal waters and shorelines, but also human activities in rivers and inland waterways, and land-based activities that may be claimed — no matter how far-fetched — to be harming the marine environment.

Moreover, LOST may confer upon the UN, for the first time, the ability to tax Americans directly, without congressional approval.

So as you can see WE HAVE OUR HANDS FULL TO STOP THIS LOCUS FROM SPREADING!DO NOT GET LOST, JOIN OUR FORUM AND GET REVIVED!

Fl. Senator Bill Nelson Replies Angling Questions

Senator Nelson on recent Fishing Restrictions
Dear Mr. Anderson:

Thank you for contacting me regarding recent restrictions on fishing and the Magnuson-Stevens Act. There have been a lot of concerns lately about fishery closures affecting Florida, whether in the Gulf of Mexico or the Atlantic Ocean. Because fishing is so important to our State, it is vital that we find a way to preserve public access to our fisheries, so that our kids and grand kids can enjoy the same fishing trips and fresh Florida seafood that we have enjoyed.

As you know, the Magnuson-Stevens Act requires that regional fishery management councils end overfishing. I support curbs to end overfishing, but I am concerned that too often these decisions are being made on limited and sporadic data. I believe we really have to look again at the science and make sure we’re not putting Florida’s fishing industry in serious jeopardy. That is why I filed the Fishery Conservation Transition Act (S. 3594). This bill would provide time for the science to catch up, giving resource managers an opportunity to develop creative measures to conserve the resource, require accountability, and still also allow access.

I’ve also called on the Senate Commerce Committee to hold an oversight hearing on the recent closures affecting Florida and how the Magnuson-Stevens Act is being implemented. When a hearing is ultimately held, I hope it will bring all of the issues out in the open and will help guide what kind of changes need to be made.

Additionally, I have filed two bills to stop the closures of the red snapper fisheries:  the Gulf of Mexico and South Atlantic Red Snapper Fishery Protection Acts (S. 3045 and S. 3046) would prevent a shortened season and closure of these fisheries until the fishery service proves that they have better data.

I will continue to work to protect Florida’s fishermen and fisheries, and I will insist that when making decisions that affect coastal communities we are using robust, independent, and accurate data. I appreciate your taking the time to share your views with me.  Please do not hesitate to contact me again.

Sincerely,

Senator Bill Nelson

IT WOULD SEEM, SENATOR NELSON SPEAK ALSO WITH FORKED TONGUE, AS WELL FROM BOTH SIDES OF HIS MOUTH FOR JUST AFTER I RECEIVED THIS LETTER.

RFA SAYS MARKETING PLOY WILL KEEP AMERICA FROM FISHING
Cautions Angler Support For Lame Duck Legislative Shell Game

Ever since the Magnuson Stevens Fishery Conservation and Management Act (Magnuson) was reauthorized by
Congress in 2006, the Recreational Fishing Alliance (RFA) has been leading efforts to reform the law. “When
Magnuson was passed by unanimous consent without any discussion or debate, inflexible definitions were
memorialized by federal law removing all ability to responsibly manage both fish and fishermen,” said RFA
Executive Director, Jim Donofrio. “RFA has been warning the industry about a looming fisheries crisis and
calling for an open debate ever since,” he added.
Instead of agreeing to open public debate, a new marketing campaign coordinated by the American Sportfishing
Association (ASA) and National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA) through the industry sponsored
Keep America Fishing™ website is actively collecting angler contacts into an electronic database, while
suppressing any open debate on real fisheries reform. “The bills sponsored by Sen. Bill Nelson of Florida
(S3594) and Rep. Dan Boren of Oklahoma (HR6316) are supported by trade groups ASA and NMMA, but I
wonder if the anglers themselves are really aware of what’s actually contained in the legislation,” Donofrio said.
According to the ASA’s Keep America Fishing website, the Nelson/Boren legislation gives NOAA “the time,
resources and guidance” to meet its responsibilities to properly implement Magnuson “in the manner in which it
was originally envisioned by Congress in 2006.” However, Donofrio said it was Congress that originally passed
this faulty legislation without discussion. “The Nelson/Boren legislation provides cover for NOAA to keep
stalling, yet it fails to address accountability measures, arbitrary deadlines and statutory overfishing definitions
contained in Magnuson which are actually destroying our industry,” Donofrio said. “ASA called Magnuson a big
win for the sportfishing industry in 2007, yet fishermen have been losing access because of it ever since,” he said.
RFA has actively lobbied for congressional efforts to counteract these overly-restrictive measures through support
of legislation sponsored by Rep. Frank Pallone to add flexibility to federal rebuilding timelines (HR1584) and by
Rep. John Mica (HR3307) which could’ve limited the authority of the Secretary to shut down the South Atlantic
red snapper fishery without improved studies. While the Pallone bill had a Senate companion bill sponsored by
Sen. Charles Schumer (S1255), efforts to find a Florida Senator to sponsor a companion to the Mica bill were
unsuccessful in advance of the controversial Amendment 17A and the red snapper closure.
“For three years, the industry’s trade association has fought our efforts to reform Magnuson, while only recently
throwing their own personal support into lame-duck session bills by Sen. Nelson and Rep. Boren,” Donofrio said.
“The real problem is the Nelson/Boren bills will not help keep Americans fishing but instead will pay a handful of
fishermen not to fish.”
According to the RFA, the Nelson/Boren legislation would actually amend the emergency action section of
Magnuson to broaden the definition of an emergency situation, providing NOAA with even more justification to
close down fisheries while granting the Commerce Secretary with increased authority to declare emergencies.
Theoretically, Donofrio says such an amendment could allow NOAA the discretion to adjust landings more
quickly in favor of fishing communities, but he points out how the current NOAA Administration has proven very
little ‘positive’ history with fishermen to take such initiatives. “Amending federal law to give NOAA power to
shut down fisheries more quickly when the flawed harvest projections show harvest limits might be met is a
recipe for economic disaster, just ask the operators of our black sea bass fleet,” Donofrio said.

PRESS RELEASE
Recreational Fishing Alliance
5724 N. Route 9, New Gretna, NJ 08224
P: 888-564-6732 F: 609-294-3812

The Recreational Fishing Alliance is a national, grassroots political action organization representing recreational fishermen
and the recreational fishing industry on marine fisheries issues. RFA’s Mission is to safeguard the rights of saltwater
anglers, protect marine, boat and tackle industry jobs, and ensure the long-term sustainability of our Nation’s saltwater
fisheries. For information, call 888-JOIN-RFA or visit www.joinrfa.org.
RFA said the bill would also amend Magnuson to allow the Commerce Secretary to make payments to fishermen
affected by those Magnuson provisions calling for an end of overfishing, but it fails to address the underlying
problem of why fishermen are not actually allowed access to these fisheries. “The bill is actually written so that
the only fishermen offered government handouts are those fishing under specific sections of Magnuson,”
Donofrio said, pointing where the bill specifically addresses fisheries consistent with that part of Magnuson that
uses annual catch limits in their management plans. “What these bureaucrats can’t seem to comprehend is that our
fishermen aren’t looking for government handouts, they’re simply asking the government for a hand so that we
can continue to fish,” Donofrio added.
RFA says to qualify for federal assistance under to the Nelson/Boren plan, a fishery would have to be completely
closed (no retention), the stock would need to be classified as experiencing overfishing, and the closure would
have to be in place for an entire fishing season. “For our Northeast and Mid-Atlantic fishermen, sea bass would
not qualify for assistance, neither would our South Atlantic grouper fishermen who are being shut out of certain
fisheries due to the deepwater closure there,” Donofrio said. “This bill is nothing but a fisheries shell game, and it
certainly doesn’t keep anyone actively fishing.”
In terms of providing economic assistance, the bills describe how permit fees would go into the Fisheries
Conservation and Management Fund first created under section 208 of Magnuson. Donofrio said the
Nelson/Boren legislation would amend how that fund is managed, making it more robust when any permit fees
are increased. “Being as how recreational anglers are the largest fishing constituent group though we’re not
currently under a permit program is a bit troubling,” Donofrio said. “This is perfect language for catch share
advocates who would like to push for recreational permit programs to increase the balance of the Fund,” he said.
There’s also additional language related to state matching funds whereby states would be required to pay out
additional assistance to fishing communities once the federal responsibilities are met. “Considering the lack of
surplus in most state budgets, it’s unlikely many of our coastal states could meet this matching fund requirement,
meaning we can expect to see an expanded push for increased permit fees at the state level, perhaps even
recreational permit programs to drive revenue,” Donofrio said.
Recent press releases supporting the Keep America Fishing web campaign have hyped it as the ‘voice of the
American angler,’ which RFA says is mostly market-speak. “The tackle industry trade publications are calling
this a ‘brand’ which tells me as much as I need to know,” said Jim Hutchinson, Jr., Managing Director of the
RFA. “I spent years in the business of marketing and branding, and what our fishing industry needs now is a
backbone, not a marketing campaign,” he said.
According to Hutchinson, Keep America Fishing is aimed mostly at casual fishermen and Internet browsers, what
one industry insider described as Lunchbox Larry types. “These boardroom executives think of our saltwater
anglers as inactive, unmotivated rubes who could care less if they catch anything,” Hutchinson said. “Our
hardcore RFA members don’t simply want a boat ride experience with friends and family, they want to be able to
hunt down and harvest some fish once in awhile.”
Hutchinson explains that there are no Keep America Fishing activists, no lobbyists, no fisheries experts or staff
scientists, “it’s simply a marketing ploy run by an ad agency hired to make the trade association look like it’s
doing something to protect the rights of anglers,” Hutchinson said, adding “this is the same group which told the
industry not to join the RFA at our national rally in DC, who believed that a national demonstration wouldn’t
work, and who’s now trying to pass off a web page as grassroots activism, I think it’s deplorable,” he said.
“Fishermen who signed up for Keep America Fishing email campaigns as are now united under one voice with a
group which openly supported the restrictive language written into Magnuson in 2006 and is now advocating for
building broader private angler support for catch shares in 2010,” Donofrio added.

Put Your Money Where Your Mouth Is

I do not know, who is the enemy? The tactical strategist who embarks on a conquest of World Domination through his own idea of a New World Order or the idiots that follow the remarks in trying to presume that the guy who is doing all the talking is the guy who will profit the most and to those following him are but lambs to the slaughter. Take for example the film clip below, George Soros ought to put his money where his mouth is and then he might be of a persuasion that constitutes a New World Order where "The truth shall set you free" but instead, he fabricates a long winded story to sound bits pronouncing his Open Society is a Anti-Capitalist, Pro-Marxist Tactic used in transforming his way and ideologies to a new level. If Mr. Soros could actually put his monies where his mouth is in spreading the wealth out other than bogus societies such as The Shadow GovernmentAssociation of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN), Tides Foundation and Tides Center ,
PETA and the Open Society, in helping people to finding cures to developing technologies in actually helping out mankind, one might actually have more belief in him. A real man is measured in his wealth through his actions and beliefs rather than one who talks a lot of gibberish and funds those who would destroy a free world, bring down the truth and attempt to destroy the land I love, America. I may be one but I am one of hundreds of thousands who to are in a quest for knowledge and truth; as the truth shall set us free and we will defend the truth with our last solemn breath!

NOAA Reopens More Than 8,000 Square Miles in the Gulf of Mexico to Fishing
99.6 percent of federal waters now open

NOAA today reopened to commercial and recreational fishing 8,403 square miles of Gulf waters which extend from the Louisiana state water line to due south of the Alabama/Florida state line. This is the eleventh reopening in federal waters since July 22.  This reopening was announced after consultation with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and under a reopening protocol <http://www.fda.gov/Food/ucm217598.htm>  agreed to by NOAA, the FDA, and the Gulf states.  The total area reopened today is about 3.5 percent of federal waters in the Gulf of Mexico and 89 percent of the current closed area, as last modified on October 22. No oil or sheen has been documented in the area since July 25.

At its closest point, the area to be reopened is about 10 miles from the wellhead. NOAA sampled this area between August 31 and November 1 for finfish and shrimp, including tuna, swordfish, escolar, and royal red shrimp. Sensory analyses of 286 finfish samples and 55 shrimp samples and chemical analyses of 207 finfish samples in 33 composites and 50 shrimp samples in nine composites followed the methodology and procedures in the reopening protocol, with sensory analysis finding no detectable oil or dispersant odors or flavors, and results of chemical analysis for oil-related compounds and dispersants well below the levels of concern.

“This is the first reopening where we have added a supplemental test to detect dispersants in seafood, and all the samples passed,” said Jane Lubchenco, Ph.D., under secretary of commerce for oceans and atmosphere and NOAA administrator. “This is yet another indication that our Gulf seafood is safe for consumption.” As announced on October 29, 2010, NOAA and FDA have developed and implemented a chemical test to detect the presence of dispersants in fish, oysters, crabs and shrimp. The level of concern for dispersants is 100 parts per million for finfish and 500 parts per million for shrimp. The test can reliably detect Dioctyl sodium sulfosuccinate (DOSS) at levels of 2000 times below the lowest level of concern.

NOAA continues to work closely with the FDA and the Gulf states to ensure seafood safety. NOAA and FDA are working together on broad-scale seafood sampling that includes sampling seafood from inside and outside the closure area, as well as dockside and market-based sampling. An area covering 1,041 square miles immediately surrounding the wellhead, remains closed to fishing. The boundary of the fishery closure has changed 32 times after it was first instituted on May 2, at which time it covered about 3 percent (6,817 square miles) of Gulf waters around the wellhead. As oil continued to spill from the wellhead, the area grew in size, peaking at 37 percent (88,522 square miles) of Gulf waters on June 2. To date, NOAA has reopened more than 82,900 square miles of oil-impacted federal waters under this protocol and sampling regime.

NOAA has a number of methods for the public to obtain information or be notified when there is a change to the closed area:

FUBAR

A statement still in affect today and an effective way of saying no to anybody who treads on my rights including laws that are unconstitutional and I will fight this to my dying breath. I have no money so I will have to start where ever I can but I am sure someone else is a Patriot too and together we all will win in our fight to win back our Country. I am an American and no American can include himself into this trash unless they are but frauds to my flag.

The whole bill can be viewed on the FRA site but Article 21 just really burns my butt! Think about it? If in the service and you get an section 8 of article 21, they put on you in the nut house. Funny they should call it that because it really is nuts if they think people are going to abide by such lunacy.

"It's going to put a lot of people of business," said Capt. Bob Zales, II President of the National Association of Charterboat Operators (NACO). "You'll probably have a lot of small family owned charter operators going out of business, not to mention tackle shops, restaurants, marinas, hotels and every other business that relies on fishing and tourism," he added. According to Zales, who's also a member of the RFA national board of directors, it would be one thing if the fishery was in trouble. However, he explains the strict requirements under Magnuson prevent any flexibility within the fisheries management process to allow fishermen to continue fishing.

It is called trickle down economics folks. Take away one thing and just find out how much more falls down with it. An once it is gone, it's gone. Remember the fish you use to order on your plate? Now you might get processed fish sticks, if your lucky.

Agenda 21 and Sustainable Development: If your freedom is important to you, the most effective action that you can take is to e-mail this article and Michael Shaw’s “Understanding Agenda 21 Sustainable Development” booklet to all of your State Legislators, County Commissioners/ Superintendents and City Council members.
Agenda 21, the international plan of action to sustainable development, outlines key policies for achieving sustainable development that meets the needs of the poor and recognizes the limits of development to meet global needs. Agenda 21 has become the blueprint for sustainability and forms the basis for sustainable development strategies. It attempts to define a balance between production, consumption, population, development, and the Earth’s life-supporting capacity. It addresses poverty, excessive consumption, health and education, cities and agriculture; food and natural resource management and several more subjects. Its 40 chapters are broken up into four sections:
  1. Social and economic dimensions: developing countries; poverty; consumption patterns; population; health; human settlements; integrating environment and development.
  2. Conservation and management of resources: atmosphere; land; forests; deserts; mountains; agriculture; biodiversity; biotechnology; oceans; fresh water; toxic chemicals; hazardous, radioactive and solid waste and sewage.
  3. Strengthening the role of major groups: women; children and youth; indigenous peoples; non-governmental organizations; local authorities; workers; business and industry; farmers; scientists and technologists.
  4. Means of implementation: finance; technology transfer; science; education; capacity-building; international institutions; legal measures; information.
 And it all falls under:
Law of the Sea Treaty (LOST) http://www.usasurvival.org/ck42705.shtml

According to Cliff Kincaid, America’s Survival, Inc., the UN Convention on the Law of the Sea Treaty is a measure so extreme that former U.S. Ambassador to the U.N. Jeane Kirkpatrick said it was viewed as the cornerstone of a Marxist-oriented New International Economic Order (NIEO). This was conceived as a scheme to transfer money and technology from the U.S. and other developed countries to the Third World.1 Kirkpatrick strongly opposed ratification of LOST.

I'm at a lose or Lost in the forest as I cannot see the trees. Who the hell do these people think they are that the United Nations will take over our country, the USA, rename it The North American Union and we will follow like lost sheep.

I suggest you read the whole piece of crap, digest it if possible, you could do that to for the same ends, print it up and use it on the crapper in the morning. FUBAR, that is my ten cents worth and stay tuned because I working up to a dollar. A US Dollar that is!

Help Us, Help You, Save Fishing!

Help us, help you as they are coming for your fish too. No US coastline is safe and after this Sector Separation is complete, phase 2 starts, in which all inshore waters are to be targeted as well rivers, streams and lakes, taking away your freshwater fish too. Be warned, doing nothing and that is what they are hoping on, will cause you to lose your rights in fishing without a tag, additional poundage verification charges, closure of angling waters based on flawed to no data and after a donation of $50,000, NOAA was bought and paid for in supporting these changes to your lose of fishing rights. Please go to our mother site and my blog for further information. http://theonlinefisherman.com and my blog http://uraass.blogspot.com/2010/11/jevons-paradox-philanthropic-shell-game.html Thank You

He moved to England in 1947 and graduated from the London School of Economics before becoming a trader for an investment bank. Tide, its not about ocean movements or a product in cleaning; it is an institution spreading its wealth out like peanut butter on bread and handing out its sandwiches to Good and Evil alike. Much to a God complex as the puppeteer behind the scenes, pulling the strings is a really scary guy and apparently Halloween is not over, a comment on The Online Fisherman:
"I must admit, and am now in a position in which i CAN admit -- that I've always felt Messianic. The world needs a conscience, and my Foundations are just that. After all, I'm omnipotent in many ways, I'm invisible, and I can do things no normal human can do". (George Soros in an interview with a German newspaper, and from “Shadow Government”).

Jevons Paradox; a philanthropic shell game by Gary Anderson

Brought to you by more alphabet soup, the URAASS;
there's a whole lot of fish in that bowel!

The whole complexity of Sustainable Fisheries through Catch Shares and Sector Separation is based upon the the Jevons paradox, sometimes called the Jevons effect. Which may increase productivity and in turn tends to increase (rather than decrease) the rate of consumption of that resource; the total opposite as to what is intended in the first place by the EDF ( Environmental Defense Fund)and the GMFMC (Gulf of Mexico Fishery Management Council ), unless one is looking to bring down the system, as a far left establishment may well wish to do, in creating a state of anarchy to rebellion.” The Jevons paradox, has recently been reexamined by modern economists studying consumption and the rebound effects from energy efficiency. The Rebound effect is the behavioral or other systemic responses to the introduction of new technologies, or other measures taken to reduce resource usage, where as, Energy effectiveness or efficiency, is a renewable resource-based technology said to be the twin pillars of a sustainable energy policy. In many countries energy efficiency is used to benefit national security, a phrase widely used in obtaining monies for appreciable funding from foundations, as it can be claimed to reduce the level of energy imports from foreign countries and may slow down the rate at which domestic energy resources are depleted. A total reversal of the Jevons Paradox but with the right wording and enough garble placed in precise places with in its cause, organizations can and do use this terminology in taking “good faith” dollars and placing them into the wrong hands. Money laundering is such a dirty word, so instead it is a philanthropic shell game to which foundations and organizations such as the Tides Foundation uses to do two things better than any other foundation or charity in the U.S. Today; it routinely obscures the sources of its tax-exempt millions, and makes it difficult to discern how the funds are actually being used.

The Tides Foundation promotes a multitude of leftist agendas, as evidenced by its own assertion: "We strengthen community-based organizations and the progressive movement by providing an innovative and cost-effective framework for your philanthropy." Some of Tides contributes are: radical environmentalism like the "exclusion of humans from public and private wild-lands, anti-free trade campaigns; the banning of firearms ownership; abolition of the death penalty; access to government-funded abortion-on-demand; and radical gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender advocacy.” I as a card carrying member of the NRA and the CCA repute such thoughts and of those reading this article of the Jevons Paradox who enjoy your freedoms and rights need to wake up because this is a package concealing an explosive device designed to wreck havoc on our American values and it is not just about fish!

Just after 9/11, Tides formed a "9/11 Fund" to advocate a "peaceful national response." Tides later replaced the 9/11 Fund because of allegations that the Tides Center had given the Independent Media Center (IMC) $376,000 -- ironically, from its “9/11 fund.” IMC is a notorious bastion of far left, radical viewpoints, and also serves as an organizing outpost for all sorts of large-scale protest activity, with the "Democratic Justice Fund," which was financed in large measure by the Open Society Institute of George Soros, who has donated more than $7 million to Tides over the years. Reciprocally, the Tides Foundation is a major fund provider of the Shadow Party, a George Soros-conceived nationwide network of several dozen unions, non-profit activist groups, and think tanks whose agendas are ideologically to the left, and which are engaged in campaigning against American principles to which founded this country, to which we call the United States of America. They are coming through our back door to which is wide open and but a few are watching. Start with the environment, work your way into the fisheries and proceed from there with trickle economics in reverse. We get poorer and they get richer, all at our expense because it sounds like socialism at its best but it really is about money and who controls it. According to Source Watch: In April 2004 O'Dwyer's PR Daily reported that Fenton Communications, a touchstone for radical political campaigns, ran the following ad on Air America Radio, which it launched with Dan Klores Communications:

"Public relations. Monty Python called it a modern useless profession. Too bad they were wrong. PR has become the way crafty corporations and even the leaders of the free world can convince people that pollution is harmless, war is peace and greed is good.” No wonder the Fenton Communications firm does not like to be asked at parties what they do for a living and from whom it obtains its fees.
It is easy to hide in The Shadows when a corporation is actually helping out commendable foundations that really do as they say and are not against our American principles; TIDES FOUNDATION AND TIDES CENTER : you be the judge.

Sector Separation; I smell a Red Herring! It is just another Boniface liberal think tank where the word “Think” was left out. It is based on flawed to no science and we will make it up as we go along, correcting ourselves if we ever get the right information as an amendment to whatever it is we are drafting. Using numbers, like 511,000 Red Snapper off the North Carolinian’s sector, representing the amount of snapper left, in a given area, was to the utmost for their agenda and interpretation. Now they wish to push this pile of bile here in Florida. “Catch Shares” are but Cap & Trade, which could work in a perfect world; where is that? By capitalizing on greed, stupidity, a couple of Grants thrown as a bone to chew on and you have the makings of a sting to your direction; it's from the oldest liberal trick in the book and someone gets rich off this, while, again, trickle down economics impacts small businesses and communities. I am surprised an economist as Mr. Soros could buy into all of this, unless, from the words of one of his colleagues at London School of Economics is true: “Writing in The New Republic, MIT’s Robert Solow, one of the most respected macroeconomics of the twentieth century, doubted that Soros understood “simultaneous” equations, i.e., systems of equations that involve more than one dependent variable. (For those unfamiliar with economics, this was a bit like accusing a carpenter of not knowing how to use a chisel), yet he signs on with the actions to take away yours and my rights through this stupid sector separation process and catch shares based on multiple dependent variables . One would tend to possibly agree with Mr. Robert Solow; with my limited knowledge of world economics, though I did not graduate from the London School of Economics, I did take classes there in pursuit of my degree from the American Institute of Foreign Studies in Richmond and London England. So in a way, I feel qualified to say; it is bogus data and all the data shown is old, out dated or flawed in that the survey's were never completed and approximates were used, all while thinking the American Angler is just a stupid individual that will just play along. Well play along with this pal: the upcoming URAASS (United Responsible Anglers Against Sector Separation) and the FRA (Fishing Rights Alliance) and The Online Fisherman are on the other side of the table and we want this stopped now. When the EDF or the GMFMC can can show us their amended numbers, additionally backed up by scientific interpretations other than a old NOAA data sheets and an 80 year old world renowned puppeteer, George Soros-conceived calling for World Order, we might meet you halfway at the table but until then, peddle your wares elsewhere for we ain't buying it! This Jevons Paradox; a philanthropic shell game may be what is needed in another country but not here, where we pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.
Stand Up One, Stand Up All and Stop the Suppression of Rights to which we live by!
